Toter Fisch

Born in 2013 from the imagination of the singer and composer Romain Nobileau and quickly joined by Rémy Robinot on bass (ex Unconstant Motion ) and then Jérémy Bayon on accordion ( Scumbags , Hecate ), the project of Metal Pirate Toter Fisch only materializes in 2014 with the meeting of David Lemoine (ex Drakwald ) on guitar and Pierre Dri on drums, who came to complete the crew. After more than a year of preparation, the band launched the collision with its first ep Blood, Rum And Piracy , canoned in March 2015, followed by an acoustic ep Bottoms Up Treasure in 2016, followed by a first album Yemaya in 2017. 2019 sounds the departure of David and the arrival of guitarist Tanguy Andujar ( Saor , Forgotten Tales Brotherhood , ex Anthares ). After a long gestation, Toter Fisch released his new album Aspidochelone in September 2023. Although influenced by artists such as Finntroll , Moonsorrow , Rammstein , or Danny Elfman , Toter Fisch nevertheless claims his own identity. The music of the band, rich in orchestrations, oscillates between several styles (Death Metal, Black Metal, Folk Metal, Metal Symphony...). Brutal, epic, dark or festive, the tracks want to be varied, while remaining faithful to the atmosphere of piracy, notably thanks to the presence of an accordion and other traditional instruments, but also to the scenic aspect via costumes and scenography. Inspired by pirate folklore, the lyrics narrate the fictional adventures of the crew of the ship Toter Fisch, while mixing them with historical and mythological facts. Since its creation, the group has been able to travel all over France and neighbouring countries. The Toter Fisch has visited prestigious venues and festivals (Motocultor, Cernunnos Pagan Fest...) and has been given the opportunity to defend their music in front of thousands of people, during almost a hundred concerts.
