Track A Triger starts in August 2003 as a solo project by Jim Vallet (Head Candy ). The guy starts by recording some acoustic tracks at home, before Jim Viner, also a member of Head Candy, comes to play the drums on 7 tracks. Then it's Kristina Castaneda's turn, a new meeting in Dubuque (Iowa), to bring her vocal touch to 4 tracks. Not to mention the contribution of the multiple instruments mentioned in the line-up. The tracks were mixed in June 2005 at Paul Oldham's Rove Studio ( Bonnie Prince Billy , Will Oldham , ...) and resulted in the release of a first album, Woke Up Early The Day I Died , released in February 2006 via Future Appletree Records ( Driver Of The Year , Tenki ,...). The line-up then consolidated in anticipation of a tour starting in April 2006, and TAT quickly followed with the composition of its second effort from July until January 2007. The release of We Moved Like Ghosts takes place on May 22, 2007 via Deep ELM Records (Free Diamonds, Sounds Like Violence,...) and, in the meantime, the band recruits two new full-time members, Sandy Kim on keyboard/song, and Tony Sackett on bass.
