Biography

Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) is a group of Prog Rock / Metal Orchestral directed by Rock Opera founded in 1996 by producer / composer Paul O'Neill with Savatage members and involving multiple vocalists. From the beginning, a trilogy dedicated to Christmas is planned, in which the first two albums, Christmas Eve and Other Stories (1996) and The Christmas Attic (1998), are included. It follows Beethoven's Last Night (2000), which adopts a different concept (the demon Mephistopheles negotiates with the famous composer to obtain his soul), before The Lost Christmas Eve comes to close the trilogy in 2004. While the success of TSO continues to grow, the training is particularly busy turning. It will take until 2009 for the fifth opus, Night Castle , half Opéra Rock and half more conventional album. Then came an EP in 2012 ( Dreams Of Fireflies ) and finally the latest album, Letters From The Labyrinth , in 2015. Paul O'Neill, the originator of Trans-Siberian Orchestra, died in April 2017. The tours continue, however, before being interrupted in 2020 due to a health crisis.
