Biography

In 1988, Tom Petty decided to set up a supergroup, Traveling Wilburys, composed of rock legend, namely: Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Roy Orbison and Jeff Lynne. They then began recording a single title, intended to appear as a b-side on George Harrison's single, This Is Love. But the title in question, Handle With Care , is considered too good to become just a b-side, which is why Traveling Wilburys composes an entire album, entitled Traveling Wildburys Vol 1 which will appear at the end of 1988. Their second effort, published two years later in 1990, strangely entitled Traveling Wilburys Vol 3, was produced without Roy Orbison, who died in 1988. In 2007, the albums were not found in commerce, Rhino Entertainment reissued them in a set of two cds, a DVD: The Traveling Wilburys Collection.
