Triggerfinger
Biography
Triggerfinger is a rock stoner trio that comes from Antwerp, it is currently composed of Ruben Block ( Sin Alley , Angelico ) with singing and scratching, Mario Goossens ( Hooverphonic , Winterville ) behind the drums, and Paul Van Bruystegem aka Monsieur Paul (The Wolf Banes ) at bass. If the band's formation dates back to 1998, it will take until 2004 to see an eponymous debut album, the style is very close to the Queens Of The Stone Age, but influences by Led Zeppelin and ZZ Top are also very present, in the tracklist there are covers of Conmotion by Creedence Clearwater Revival, as well as Au Suivant by Jacques Brel. After a live Fadders Up in 2007 with some cover by Bob Dylan , PJ Harvey , The Who or The Police , Triggerfinger returned the following year with What Grabs Ya? at Excelsior Recordings which allowed him to make known among the European rock audience, and thus French thanks to dates at the Rock Dans Tous ses Etats, and the Main Square Festival. At the end of 2010 Belgian training is back to business with All This Dancin' Around , finer and more blues-oriented than its predecessors; The production was carried out by Greg Gordon ( System Of A Down , Slayer , Jet ...). The same producer who will be in the hands of By Absence of The Sun in 2014, the fourth mischief of Triggerfinger, on which the instrumental construction of the band is substantially the same, the only changes that can be noted are at the level of the song, with intonations sometimes close to those of a Dave Grohl.
