Biography

Trust is a French Hard Rock band from the Paris region and founded in 1977 by Bernard "Bernie" Bonvoisin (song), Norbert "Nono" Krief (guitar), Raymond Manna (bass) and Jean-Emile Hanela (battery). Only the first two form Trust's hard core, never replaced, while the drummer position is subject to multiple changes from the first years. The band first performed in Parisian clubs and released a first 45 laps, Take Pas Ton Flingue , in 1978. During the recording, they meet Bon Scott, the AC/DC singer, which will allow them to make the first part of it and thus reach a wider audience. A first eponymous album was released in 1979, for which the band toured across France. It is with another drummer, Kevin Morris, that the Repression cult is recorded, which contains the title Antisocial. In the face of success, Manna gave up bass and became a manager. This is not the only line-up change: while Yves Brusco takes the place of a bassist left vacant, Moho Chemlakh is recruited as second guitarist and Englishman Nicko McBrain becomes the new drummer. It is under this configuration that Marche Or Crève appears at the end of 1981. Note that these last two albums were also released in English, respectively entitled Repression and Savage . In 1982 McBrain joined Iron Maiden; He was then replaced by Clive Burr, who had just left Maiden. After the release of Trust IV in 1983 (third and last opus to be translated, under the title Man's Trap), Chemlakh left without being replaced, and a new drummer change took place with the arrival of Farid Medjane. Rock'n'Roll (1984) marks the end of an era. Internal tensions are felt, success is no longer on the table, and Trust splits up in 1985. A first reformation took place in 1988. Brusco went for the guitarist occasion, and Fred Guillemet took the bass. At the same time, Antisocial was taken over by Anthrax's Americans, giving a spotlight on French formation. Trust then starts in new recordings, but it only emerges from the EP Waiting. We must then wait until 1996 to see a new return. Bernie and Nono are this time surrounded by David Jacob on bass and Nirox John on drums. A contract is signed with Warner Music France for three albums, but it will be terminated after the release of Europe Et Haines , Bernie not wishing to shoot with the band (he has meanwhile started a film career). The work on the next album is already well advanced, and Ni Dieu Ni Maître ends up coming out in 2000 under the impulse of Krief. Bonvoisin, on the other hand, does not consider himself satisfied with his quality and initiates a trial which will result in his withdrawal from the sale. A new separation ensues. Trust returned in 2006 with Yves Brusco on bass, Ismaila "Izo" Diop as second guitarist (roles they will reverse shortly afterwards), and Farid Medjane on drums. The reformation concerts give rise to the release of Soulagez-Vous Dans Les Urnes , which also contains three unpublished concerts. A DJ is integrated into the line-up for recording 13 à Table in 2008. The band continued to shoot, but while scheduled to play at the 2011 Hellfest, an indefinite break was announced in April of the same year. In 2016, as the fortieth anniversary approaches, a new comeback on stage for the tour "Au Nom De La Rage". For the occasion Izo Diop on guitar and David Jacob on bass, while the drums are managed by Christian Dupuy. Trust finally performed at Hellfest in June 2017, a performance captured for the release of a live album a few months later. It was in March 2018 that Le Same Sang appeared, ninth studio album.
