Two Door Cinema Club
Biography
Two Door Cinema Club formed in 2007 in Bangor (Northern Ireland) around Alex Trimble (song, guitar), Kevin Baird (bass) and Sam Halliday (guitar). A childhood friend, the first two musicians formed the band only after they met Sam. Quickly put forward by the internet web - and therefore inevitably MySpace -, the trio signs at Kitsuné Records , with the key to a first album Tourist History , which the band puts forward via clips ("I Can Talk", "Something Good Can Work"). Two Door Cinema Club took part in some major festivals, notably in France (Bourges, Rock in the Seine). 2 years after Tourist History, the trio announces its second opus, Beacon, for the middle of the year via a Twitter ad. "Sleep Alone" is the first single, while frontman Alex Trimble pays the luxury of singing at the opening ceremony of the London Olympics.
