Ultraphallus
Biography
Ultraphallus was trained in Liège in 2002 at the initiative of Phil Maggi (Chant) and Gabriel Marguerie (Guitare). They hired Julien Bockiau (Battery) and David Greisch (Basse) before recording a first demo, entitled U.1 in 2004. After being on stage, the Belgians reinvested the studios in autumn 2005, together with the sound engineer John Roo, to record their first fully self-produced album. It was in February 2006 that Lungville was distributed by Conspiracy Records, allowing Ultraphallus to defend it on stage alongside Amen Ra, Nebula, The Elektracution, Kylesa, Suma, Acid King, or Black Cobra. But at the end of the tour, Greisch decided to leave the band. Xavier Dubois replaced him for a while, then he became a guitarist after Gabriel's departure in 2008. Ivan Del Castillo became a bassist, allowing them to release the album The Clever in 2008. A third opus and an ep arrived in 2011 named Sowberry Hagan and Headstrong. Both appear at Riot Season while a split with Suma is released in 2012.
