Biography
Robert - drums Jeroen - bass Robin - guitar Michiel - singing
Uppercut , not to be confused with the New York group, was born in Zeeland (Netherlands) in 1995. After recording a demo and two self-produced albums, the band draws the attention of the Belgian label I Scream Records which offers it the opportunity to appear on a compilation. The result is the release of an album entitled A Luta Continua which allows Uppercut to launch on European roads.
Practicing previously a style influenced by the East Coast bands of the early 1980s ( Negative Approach, Necros ...), the arrival of a new drummer directed Uppercut in a direction closer to Gorilla Biscuits, Bold or Kill Your Idols. The band recorded a 7 inches on the late New Day Records label.
After a short separation, Uppercut returned to the front of the stage in 2006 with a new album entitled Tables Turned .
