Vanir
Biography
Vanir began his activities in 2009 in Roskilde, Denmark, in the form of an octuary with Andreas Bigom (Chant, Claviers), Mike Pedersen (Chant), Sara Oddershede (Cornemuseum / Flutes), Amanda Natalie Rasmussen (Flûtes), Philip Kaaber (Guitare), Lars Bundvad (Basse), Martin Holmsgaard Håkan (Battery) and Sabrina Glud (Violon). A first demo was released in 2010 and the combo was signed by Mighty Music for the production of their first album named Særimners Kød. The Folk Metal group underwent a line-up reshuffle the following year, as Mike Pedersen, Amanda Natalie Rasmussen and Sabrina Glud left the band, but took the direction of the studios to be released in the wake of Onwards Into Battle. In 2013, Vanir lost his singer/clavier Andreas Bigom. Martin Holmsgaard Håkan thus rotates to the microphone and they recruit Daniel Kronskov behind the drums. Vanir thus partly changes musical style with a more typified Death / Thrash Metal approach in their compositions and releases a third album, The Glorious Dead in 2014, still at Mighty Music.
