Biography

Evan Pharmakis (guitar, clear song) and Nicholas Lambert (guitar) formed Vanna in 2004, they surrounded each other in the footsteps of Joe Bragel (chant), Shawn Marquis (bass) and drummer Brandon Davis (ex Therefore I Am), after a first demo they released an EP 5 titles by the name of This Will Be Our Little Secret, he will allow them to make themselves known locally, build a fan base and he will even arrive at the ears of Epitath Records who signs them. After a Split with Therefore I Am in 2006, they started to work on The Search Party Never Came, the first EP that will be released on their new label, while recording the band will separate from its singer, and it is Nicholas who will ensure the screaming vocals, before Chris Preece joins them. After a major tour of the second half of 2006, the Bostonians fly to Seattle to work on their first album with producer Matt Bayles (Isis , Norma Jean , Russian Circles ...), Curses will be released in spring 2007. During a series of concerts in early 2008 Brandon Davis decides to leave, he will be replaced by relatives of Vanna in order to ensure the full set planned, however he will stay in good time with his members, returning even behind the drums on some dates in the future. Once in the writing phase of his second opus, the combo recruits Chris Campbell drummer from The Jonah Veil, who has just split, A New Hope will appear in 2009 and the one that will be well received by the public, even reaching the top 50 of the Heatseekers Charts of the Billboard, will be the last mischief at Epitath. A few weeks later the band's instability once again made its own, Chris Preece dropped the microphone, Davey Muise (ex Seeker Destroyer) replacing him. In the summer of 2010 Vanna signed with Artery Recordings, the first result of this new collaboration will be an EP, The Honest Hearts will be produced by Jay Maas (defeater guitarist). Boston's little guys don't hang out, and six months later they're throwing a new baby And They Came Baring Bones, this time produced by Matt Goldman (Underoath , The Chariot ), unfortunately the old demons of the band resurface, it's Evan Pharmakis and Chris Campbell's turn to leave the ship for family and financial problems, they will be replaced by Joel Pastuszak and Eric Gross shortly before the Warped Tour 2012, with among others The Used and Dead Sara. Satisfied with Jay Mass's work at the time, Vanna decided to re-enter the experience in 2013 on his fourth album The Few and the Far Between , he will mark the end of their contract with Artery, his successor VOID (2014) will be signed by Pure Noise and produced by Will Putney ( Texas In July , Like Moths to Flames ).
