Biography
Warsaw is a dark rock/post-punk trio from Grenoble. Formed in 2005 around Arnault Destal and Grégory Cathérina two former Forbidden Site, Warsaw releases Some Days, a demo 5 tracks the same year, the band claims to be strongly influenced by Joy Division, Bauhaus, The Chameleons or even the first Black Desire ... In 2006 the duo was joined by Thibault Chapelat as a bassist (later quickly replaced by Yann Four) and recorded an EP Nine Millimeters . After a series of some 60 concerts in Europe, the band recorded at the end of 2008 the 11 tracks of its first album Etat Civil (2009) at the Drudenhaus Studio in Nantes, the group's texts written in French and addressed historical themes such as the Warsaw insurection, they sometimes refer to artists on the margins such as Pierre Drieu La Rochelle, Sergei Essénine... After several years of almost silence, Warsaw announces in the summer of 2013 that it is working on a second LP, we still have to wait a year before something concrete comes out, The Time and The Trajectory is announced by the end of 2014, it is preceded by L'Eclaircie , a first energetic title with very raw riff.
