Biography

Verdun was born in 2010 from the meeting of five enthusiastic Montpellierans. The quintet draws its influences from Pentagram , Saint Vitus , Hawkwind or Rwake , in order to produce a deep and intense psychedelic hardcore doom. This musical research takes shape with the release of a first EP, The Cosmic Escape Of Admiral Masuka, in early 2012 at Head Records. It will take four long years to see a first long format, The Eternal Drift's Cantics, released jointly on Head Records, Throatruiner and Lost Pilgrims Records in April 2016. The singer David left his place in Paulo Rui, although he remained the author of the texts and the cover. Three years later the former singer returns to the bercail after co-forming Necrodancer, and the original line-up releases the third part of Admiral Masuka's adventures, Astral Sabbath, distributed by Throatruiner (LP), Deadlight Entertainment (CD) and Breathe Plastic (cassette).
