Villagers Of Ioannina City

Villagers Of Ioannina City is a group that comes from the city of Ioannina in Greece. It consists of Alex Karametis with singing and guitar, Akis Zois with bass, Aris Giannopoulos with drums, Konstantis Pistiolis with clarinet and Achilleas Radis with keyboard. The band practices a Stoner Rock for the least original. In fact, he marries the heavy rhythms of Stoner without concession with traditional Greek folk music, notably through clarinet. It gives compositions to strange psychedelism, far from the usual boundaries of this musical genre. After a first demo in 2010, the band released R iza in April 2014, as well as an EP featuring both Zvara and Karakolia tracks. The quintet will take the time to refine what will become the second and long album, Age of Aquarius , released in 2019 and fully sung in English.
