Biography

The beginning of Voodoo history dates back to 1988 in Riverside, California when the 3 brothers Casillas (Frank: chant; Jorge: bass and Eddie: guitar) and Jerry O'neill (battery) decide to set up the band... After a few years of rehearsal and a local reputation that began to form, the band decided to add a brass section to enrich its music and stick to its ska and Latin influences (1991). From there everything goes on for the skacore combo: first album Who Is? This Is in '92 on Dr Strange Records, tours with No Doubt , The Offspring ... then 4 albums on Epitaph. The latter of these albums mark a slight change in the music of the band that deradicalizes a little bit. Frank and the others from VGS then set up their own label: El Pocho Loco on which they come out The Potty Training Years, a collection of demos dating from '91. In 2002 they signed on the Chicago Victory Records label, released Steady As She Goes and total more than 1 million albums sold worldwide.
