Biography
Originally from Bavaria, the German quintet moved to the famous Kreuzberg district of West Berlin in the early 1980s and quickly established itself as THE Berlin punk-hardcore band with their very dark music and texts sung in German. An EP and an album later, the band split before briefly reforming in 1998. Despite a very brief existence, Vorkriegsjugend had a huge influence on the punk scene Outre-Rhin and are the cult German punk band par excellence. In 2003, Weird Records had the good idea to re-release their first EP and album under the title Wir sind die Ratten .
