Biography

Watertank appears during 2003 as the band of Native American Chaotic Hardcore To Learn is extinct. In the wake of this, a demo appears four tracks of Sub's name and the band plays its first dates. Yet the project is experiencing some difficulties and, despite an Irish tour at the end of 2005, Watertank was forced to pause before resurfaced in 2006 with a second demo and a slightly modified lineup. The dates follow again on Nantes and the surroundings and Watertank, gradually catching up with the accumulated delay, notably performing alongside bands like Capricorns, Lair of the Minotaur, Dirge, The Ocean or Baroness. Mi-2009 released Fairy Crimes , which the formation defended among others at the opening of Hellfest the same year. This time well launched, the Nantais will still be discreet again before coming back for good four years later with their first album under the arm. Sleepwalk was born at Solar Flare Records ( Pigs , Sofy Major ) in April 2013. Watertank then adopts a more regular rhythm by releasing the next album, Destination Unknown , in 2015, then Silent Running in 2020, with a new guitarist landed from Chaviré (Romain) and a new bassist extracted from Weak (Willy), sheltered this time by Atypeek Music. The quartet returned in 2024, this time equipped with a fresh drummer under the arm (Matthew of Moozoonsii), with his fourth album Liminal Status.
