Biography

We Were Promised Jetpacks formed in 2003 in Edinburgh around Adam Thompson (Chant and Guitar), Michael Palmer (Guitare), Sean Smith (Basse) and Darren Lackie (Battery). Influenced by The Twilight Sad and Brightened Rabbit, the combo played its first concert during a school competition and then flew to Glasgow.
By signing in 2008 at Fat Cat Records following a recommendation by Frightened Rabbit, We Were Promised Jetpacks is working on his first opus These Four Walls, released in 2009. Follows different tours with Bad Veins, Bear Hands or Jimmy Eat World.
March 2010 sees the release of The Last Place You'll Look , an EP that prefigures an album the following year. Meanwhile, different titles of the quartet are used (Parazit, Sons Of Anarchy, One Tree Hill...). In July 2011, In The Pit Of The Stomach was announced for October of the same year. This one comes out at Fat Cat Records again, supported by a few clips broadcast on the net. Three years later, We Were Promised Jetpacks returns again, with Unravelling , revealing a more posed aspect of combo.
