The Septet of Boston, led by Obi Fernandez's expert hands, is well known for smokin' all the bars and clubs in Boston and the surrounding area. In 2002, they released Searching For A Melody (on the label of King Django Stubborn Records, reissued in '03 by the no less famous Megalith Records) and in 2004 Five to Two . (originally on their own label Relative Records and re-edited by Stomp Records ). These guys bridge between the 60s and today, including reggae, soul and blues spices with a touch of jazz and country here and there. 2 line-up changes occur: Josh Cohen took the position of saxophonist and then Cory Williams was replaced by Johnny DeCarlo on guitar. After slid a demo to Tim Armstrong at a Transplant concert, big boss signed them in 2006 and released Transitions, revealing the band's great maturity. Westbound Train shared the scene with the big calibers like Skatalites, Reel Big Fish, Toasters or Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
