Whiskey Ritual
Biography
The history of Whiskey Ritual begins in Italy in 2008, in the city of Parma. Dorian Bones, Plague (Cristiano Rastelli), and A. (Andrea Ponzoni), all of whom play in local bands, decided to set up another project, respectively in the positions of singer, bassist/choir and lead guitarist. Quickly, they look for a drummer and find their man in the person of Asher, drummer of Forgotten Tomb. At first, it's just a side-project for them. In 2009, they released an ep, Black'n'Roll, followed in 2010 by their first album In Goat We Trust. Although their music is generally called Black Metal, they add to the dark and nihilistic atmosphere a very Punk energy. The topics addressed are Satan, sex, drugs and alcohol, always with a hint of irony, the group claiming this "street attitude" and a marked inclination for self-destruction. All the lyrics of the songs are written by Dorian and come from his own experiences because, for him, a group has to talk about things he really knows. In 2011, they released a split with Forgotten Tomb , A Tribute To GG Allin , a tribute to this icon Punk underground, famous for its transgressive life without concession. A few session musicians will succeed each other, Azog The Minstrel (forgotten Tomb bassist from 2000 to 2002) and Lady De Murderdog on rhythm guitar. In 2012, they released their second album Narconomicon . In 2013, Alessandro Cattani joined Whiskey Ritual as a live rhythm guitarist and finally joined the band in 2015, under the pseudonym of H.Desecrator. The same year released their third album Blow With The Devil at Art Of Propaganda, very well received by the specialized press.
