White Denim
Biography
White Denim is not only what means white jeans, it is also the patronymic of a group of four Texans, practicing a mutant rock, rich in various sounds, since 2006. Southern rock, folk, math-rock, jazz, blues, soul, etc., White Denim experimentes and organizes all his influences through a floppy of records, in short, long formats, or in split (with Maps And Atlases in 2013), but is nationally noted with his first album, Workout Holiday, in 2008 (at Full Time Hobby, named Exposion on Transmission Entertainment). The quartet was subsequently hosted by Downtown Records and released Fits , second album, a year later. Very productive, the Texans gave birth in 2010 to the well-named Last Day Of Summer in self-production, composed when the band had lost itself in the middle of the campaign, in the summer. The band led by James Petralli (chant, guitar) then became internationally known with D , released in 2011 at Downtown, and released at the same time a live album on Jack White's label (The White Stripes , The Raconteurs , Dead Weather ), based in Detroit: Third Man Records. White Denim returns in 2013 with a fifth long format, Corsicana Lemonade , then we wait three years to see his successor, Stiff , still at Downtown.
