Whyzdom
Biography
Vynce Leff (guitar) and Telya Melane (chant) formed Whyzdom in 2007 in Paris. The other members of the group were recruited quickly, and the EP Daughter Of The Night was registered. The disc receives good reviews in the middle of the symphonic metal. Whyzdom gave birth to his first album, From The Brink Of Infinity , in 2009. Having won their place at the Metal Female Voices Fest thanks to last year's springboard, the French will defend this first album at this Belgian festival specializing in bands to singer. Play with Delain, Tarja, Epica, or Leaves' Eyes allows them to find an audience receptive to their metal full of orchestration, and Whyzdom's reputation is still growing. The bassist was replaced by Xavier Corrientes before a Franco-Spanish tour with Delain . Then in 2010 it is the singer's turn to leave the adventure. Clementine Delauney is chosen as a replacement. But a year later, after a few concerts and while the recording of the second album is already well advanced, the new singer departs from Whyzdom. Refusing to release the album with the vocal tracks of a singer already gone, the Parisians pushed the release of Blind? , and recruit Elvyne Lorient who rerecords the voices. Blind? exits at the end of 2012. But the law of series is ruthless. In early 2013, the third singer left Whyzdom. Marie Rouyer replaced her. The band has some opportunities on European dates, notably with Delain and Visions Of Atlantis (fun fact: the former singer of Whyzdom, Clementine Delaunay, integrates Visions Of Atlantis in 2013 precisely). Then in 2014, the French focused on their third album, Symphony For A Hopeless God, which was released in early 2015. Tristan Demurger, bassist on the first album, returns to the band to replace Xavier Corrientes. The band announced a fourth album in 2018: As Time Turns To Dust .
