Wigrid

The name Wigrid comes from Vígríðr, where the battle of Ragnarok took place according to northern mythology. Wigrid is a Black Metal one man band, but despite his Norwegian aspirations, he comes from Saarbrücken, Germany. Ulfhednir started his project in 1998 with a demo, Ort Der Einsamkeit, followed by a second in 2000, Hoffnungstod. It will be reissued two years later by No Colours Records. Wigrid is clearly inspired by Norwegian groups including Burzum and Darkthrone as its main influences. In 2005, a second album was released named...Die Asche Eines Lebens , whose atmospheric theme is widely highlighted.
