Windhand
Biography
Asechiah Bogdan (Guitare), Garrett Morris (Guitare), Dorthia Cottrell (Chant), Nathan Hilbish (Basse) and Jeff Loucks (Batterie) founded Stoner / Doom Windhand's band in Richmond, USA in 2008. Inspired by a heaviness and psychedelism at the Electric Wizard the band recorded a first demo in 2010. Ryan Wolfe replaced Jeff in the drums the same year and the quintet prepared his first eponymous album, which was released two years later at Forcefield Records. Marked by Relapse Records, Windhand recorded a split in 2013 with Cough and his second Soma effort. By the way, Cough bass player Parker Chandler replaces Nathan for Soma's recording. In particular, the band has toured with Liturgy and Cough in the United States and made several trips across Europe, including to Roadburn 2014. The following year they returned with Grief's Infernal Flower, released at Relapse Records. The Richmond group then left on the roads, and was programmed at the Maryland Doom Fest or the Desert Fest Belgium in 2018. The same year appeared a split with their stage companions Satan's Satyrs and the fourth studio album, Eternal Return.
