Winterfylleth
Biography
Winterfylleth , whose name means October in an ancient English, is a Pagan Black Metal band from Manchester, UK. Unlike the Scandinavian groups of Pagan Metal, the English attach more to their Anglo-Saxon heritage described in their songs. From their debut, Simon Lucas (Battery / Chant), Christ Naughton (Guitare / Chant / Basse) and Richard Brass (Guitare / Chant) who have already taken their first steps at The Axis Of Perdition or Atavist, released a first three-track demo entitled Rising Of The Winterfull Moon. But it was especially the following year with a signature at Profound Lore Records that Winterfylleth was noticed with The Ghost Of Heritage by revealing a high-flying Black Metal that was clearly focused on atmospheres. Richard Brass left the band in 2009, but Winterfylleth recruited new members in the person of Nick Wallwork (Basse / Chant) and Mark Wood (Guitare) to record a second opus. The Mercian Sphere was released in 2010 at Candlelight Records.
