Biography
Jay Aust - Jeff Aust guitar - Jack Caron guitar - Todd Mackey bassist - John Ross song - drums
In February 2002, the guitarists Jay and Jeff Aust as well as drummer John Ross left the metalcore band Harmatia and formed With Honor , which would become one of Connecticut's top hardcore hopes. They were quickly joined by Jack Caron, bassist of In Pieces, with whom they composed their first songs. With the arrival of Todd Mackey, then guitarist of Life In Your Way, the line-up is stabilized. The first album was released in 2004 by Stillborn Records. Heart Means Everything is very well received by the hardcore punk scene. Influenced by bands such as Minor Threat, Gorilla Biscuit, NOFX or Face To Face, With Honor plays a hardcore old school to bring together Rise Against, Comeback Kid, Kid Dynamite, Strike Anywhere or Ignite. It delivers a positive message advocating loyalty, respect, and the development of the person. Following the release of this album, incessant tours will follow, including with Hatebreed, Sick Of It All and Comeback Kid. The band will also participate in several festivals such as the New England Metalfest, Hellfest or Skatefest. Their growing notoriety, the attention of many labels will focus on them and Victory Records released the second album entitled This is our Revenge in 2005. Recorded at Salad Days Studio, it is produced by Brian MacTernan ( Strike Anywhere, Converge, The Draft, Cave In, Hot Water Music, Snappase). While new tours and festivals are emerging, singer Todd Mackey suddenly left the band in February 2006. Kevin White, Scream Out singer, is in charge.
