Wolves In The Throne Room
Biography
In the summer of 2002, a visit to the Cascade Mountains inspired Nathan Weaver to create an entity combining the spirit of the telluric forces with the misanthropy of the Norwegian Black-Metal. In spring 2004, with his brother Aaron, he moved to a dilapidated farm near Olympia in Washington State. It was during the long winter that Wolves In The Throne Room materialized. The first album entitled Diadem Of 12 Stars was released in the spring of 2006 and already installs Olympia's formation in a comfortable status, that of the most promising Black-Metal band in the United States. At the end of the year, Wolves In The Throne Room signed a deal with Southern Lord Records and thus began a close relationship with Randall Dunn (Sunn O)), Earth , Grails ). The result of this collaboration is the album Two Hunters, which was released the same year. In January 2007, Will Lindsay, used as a bass player during the tour, was recruited as a guitarist. Winter 2008 saw the realization of the third studio album, Black Cascade . Follows a tour in the United States and Europe, then Celestial Lineage in 2011.
