Wytch Hazel
Biography
Wytch Hazel is an English Heavy Metal quartet by Lancaster formed in 2011 around Alex Haslam (Guitare), Josh Winnard (Guitare / Chant), Colin Hendra (Guitare / Chant), Aaron Hay (Batterie) and Neil Corkery (Basse). Active quite quickly, the band released a single Surrender , two splits (with Borrowed Time, Asomvel, Eliminator and Ascalon) and an ep The Truth while its line-up is still moving. Aaron Hay and Josh Winnard just left the band in 2013 replaced by Jack Spencer (Battery) and Matt Gatley (Guitare). Remarked by Bad Omen Records, Wytch Hazel composed his first album, Prelude, which appeared in 2016 and saw his success grow. Matt is replaced on guitar by Alex Haslam for the release of his second album, II: Sojourn , which opens the doors to the Keep It True and the Pyrenean Warriors Open Air. Pentecost , released in 2020, is also successful with the arrival of Andy Shackleton at bass. Jack Spencer left the drummer position in 2022 and was replaced by Aaron Hay who returned to the band behind the drums. A split with Spell also appeared in 2022.
