Black Metal
Biography
Xasthur is an American band led by Malefic from 1995 to 1999, which became the
a one man band now known and respected in the sphere of Black Metal
current. Among other things, the project was shown in splits shared with groups like Leviathan or Striborg. Xasthur's themes are rather focused on depression,
desperation or death, abandoning satanism or hatred of
Christianity, more often addressed in gender. Having never played live,
and embodied by a relatively discreet frontman, Xasthur nevertheless saw his
discography expands over the 2000s until Portal Of Sorrow,
announced by Malefic as the last album of his solo project.
