Xibalba
Biography
Xibalba is a band from Beatdown Hardcore / Sludge formed in 2007 in Pomona, California by Jason Brunes (Battery), Jensen Hucle (Guitare), Brian Ortiz (Guitare), Bryan Valdivia (Basse) and Nate Rebolledo (Chant). After a demo in 2007, the band made its debut with Madre Mia Gracias Por Los Dias and a split with World Of Pain and Ruckus in 2010, a total of twelve tracks that would be repressed by A398 Recordings the following year as an eponymous compilation. Inspired by groups like Disemboied , Morbid Angel , Obituary , Sepultura , Crowbar or Earth Crisis , Xibalba returned in 2012 with Hasta La Muerte who was released at Southern Lord Recordings. A split was released in 2014 with Suburban Scum, where Mike Salazar arrived as third guitarist, but Bryan Valdivia left the band shortly after. Tierra Y Libertad, however, appeared in 2015, still with Southern Lord Recordings, and Jensen Hucle took care of the bass on the album. This will also be the case on the ep Diablo, Con Amor . . Adios which appeared in 2017 at Closed Masket Activities. Xibalba returns with ever more heaviness in 2020 with the album Años En Infierno .
