Xipe Totec

Xipe Totec is an Aztec divinity that literally means "Our Lord skinned him." He is one of the four main gods of Nahuatl culture alongside Tezcatlipoca, Quetzalcoatl, and Huitzilopochtli and symbolizes renewal, life, death, fertile rains and nature, just that. The band is composed of two members, Alex Camacho singing, and Martin Martinez for everything else. The group mainly talks in its songs about Aztec culture but also addresses historical themes such as the Spanish conquest of Latin America. Although their debut dates back to 1996, it will take until 2011 to see the band's first album released.
