Yage
Biography
In the 1950s, writer William S. Burroughs decided to go to Latin America in search of the "Yage", a plant with hallucinogenic and mystical effects. From this research and experiments with this drug will be born the book "Les lettres du Yage". In reference to this work and to their research and experiences which they want to musically contrary to the author of the "Festin nude", four young Germans created the band Yage in spring 1998. It all happened very quickly for our four competitors, who after a first 7", released their first album, 3-17 october 1984, in March 2000. After two splits shared with Engrave and The Robocop Kraus, the band recorded The Human Head Too Strong For Itself then Some Things... and became one of the leaders of the "old-fashioned" scene. In 2003, Anders Leben , second and unfortunately latest album by Yage is the ultimate testimony of a band that has greatly influenced the scene. By its authenticity, its always sincere approach and its music, Yage has marked the minds. It should be noted that ...And Nobody Told Me To Think About Life In General released in 2003, brings together the 7" and their mini-CD.
