Yawning Man
Biography
Formed in 1986 in La Quinta (California), Yawning Man was one of the first bands to build the Desert Rock scene, but released his first album only in 2005, while in the meantime, 2 demos for between 30 and 40 tracks were recorded, and Yawning Man briefly renamed The Sort Of Quarter (which for the coup released 4 records). Rock Formations , their first opus , was released in 2005 at Alone Records , including 10 tracks recorded a year ago, mixing Space Rock and some Surf Music incursions. Two years later, a new LP, Vista Point (composed of previous release titles), landed followed in 2009 by their collaboration with Sons Of Alpha Centauri, under the name Yawning Songs (and Ceremony to the Sunset).
Next are Nomadic Pursuits (2010), Historical Graffiti (2016) and The Revolt Against Taken Noises , in 2018, with Gary Arce and Mario Lalli, the only survivors of the original line-up.
