Zombi
Biography
Zombi - whose name comes from the Italian title of George A. Romero's "Dawn of the Dead" - formed in Pittsburgh in 2003 around Steve Moore (bass, synths) and Anthony E. Paterra (battery) and signed almost instantly on the label, yet highly oriented Extreme Metal Relapse Records to release his first album Cosmos (2004), precursor of Synthwave, also imbued with psychedelism and progressive Rock, all performed in a totally instrumental manner. The duo will then shoot with Don Caballero , Isis , Daughters , Trans Am , Goblin or Red Sparowes (in which also officer Steve Moore). Zombi then released his albums relatively consistently: Surface To Air in 2006, Spirit Animal in 2009, Escape Velocity in 2011, Shape Shift in 2015 and the most oriented Doom Metal 2020 in...2020. Besides short formats such as Twilight Sentinel (2003), The Zombi Anthology (2005, released in 2015 by Relapse), Digitalis (2006), Slow Oscillations (2011), Evans City (2020) and a split with Maserati in 2009.
